Oh, come now. Opening mail? If blatant flouting of the FISA act, waterboarding detainees, lying us into a war, and all the other things he's done weren't grounds for impeachment, do you really think that the newly-minted Dem congress is going to bother impeaching over this? I'd rather they focus on more important things - health care, minimum wage, ethics reform, etc, etc... Once they've tackled the social issues, they can get down to trying to fix the damage he's done, and try to stop preventing him from doing more. He'll be gone in two years, most of which his head will be spinning from having to deal with an unfriendly Congress. Impeachment would be a waste of time and political strength right now.

I don't think I implied this was the only thing he should be impeached for, or even the thing that pushed him over the line.

I don't agree that the Congress can't work on social issues and impeachment simultaneously. However, I would put the restoration of Habeas Corpus, Posse Comitatus, and the Geneva Conventions before either. If the Democrats don't fix those problems then I don't care that much what they claim to do about other issues. Except the environment, which I believe trumps eveything else combined.
